Introduction

We train with the Static Line method, proven through the years to be the most reliable method to teach you the trills of Skydiving in a safe and progressive way. This training method is equally suitable for the first time jumper who wants to experience a once off thrill, or students who wants to achieve an internationally recognized Free-fall qualification. You will start with ground school, during which you will learn the basic elements of a typical parachute jump. During the ground school you will also be trained to do your first Static Line jump. Ground school is followed with..... You’ve guessed right! Your first parachute jump. From an altitude of 3500ft you will jump to the biggest trill of your life! The static line on your main parachute will take care of the deployment of your parachute, where after you will float down to the ground during a parachute flight of +- 6 minutes. Time to take in the spectacular view around the bay and the Outeniqua mountains. Finally, a soft touchdown on our evergreen landing zone.

What was that? You want to do it again! Now?  No problem. This is where your training towards the free fall program starts. After 8 static line jumps, you progress towards your freefall program by means of the Free Fall Progression Program During the next 18 jumps, you are taught the art of controlling your body in the sky during free fall.

1st Jump Course

We train with the Static Line method, proven through the years to be the most reliable method to teach you the trills of Skydiving in a safe and progressive way. This training method is equally suitable for the first time jumper who wants to experience a once-off thrill, or students who wants to achieve an internationally recognized Free-fall qualification.

You will start with ground school, during which you will learn the basic elements of a typical parachute jump. During the ground school you will also be trained to do your first Static Line jump.

Ground school is followed with..... you've guessed right! Your first parachute jump. From an altitude of 3500ft  you will jump to the biggest trill of your life!

The static line on your main parachute will take care of the deployment of your parachute, where after you will float down to the ground during a parachute ride of +- 6 minutes. Time to take in the spectacular view around the bay and the Outeniqua mountains. Finally, a soft touchdown on our evergreen landing zone.

What was that? You want to do it again! Now?  No problem! This is where your training towards the free fall program starts. After 8 static line jumps, you progress to the Free Fall Progression Program. During the next 18 jumps, you are taught the art of controlling your body in the sky during free fall.

Free fall progression

After completing  a total of 3 static line jumps, students can start with preparation for their 1st freefall jump. During a minimum of 5 more training jumps, the student is given free fall preparation training during which a dummy freefall ripcord handle is fitted to the static line student parachute system. The student has to demonstrate the ability to pull the handle after the exit from the aircraft, while still maintaining a correct body position. During these training jumps (referred to as DRPs - Dummy Ripcord Pulls) the parachute is still deployed by means of a static line.

On successful completion of the 5 DRPs, the 1st free fall jump is done from an altitude of 4500ft. The rest of the free fall program is a sequence of progressively longer free fall delays, followed by controlled turns and stability recovery training. After completing the "Spin Test" jump, the student graduates as a Skydiver, an internationally recognized skydiving qualification.

 Intermediate Skills Program

As the 1st step in your formation skydiving training, a sequence of 7 training jumps are done with a Formation Skydiving Instructor. On successful completion of these jumps, the Intermediate Skills Program formation skydiving qualification is achieved.
